A Sentimental Return, Reimagined for Modern Living
The project at 89 Bescot Street was rooted in something far deeper than bricks and planning regulations. It was about helping a family reconnect with their past while embracing a fresh start. Our client wanted to move back into their childhood home, a place filled with memories but limited by space and dated design.
Bescot Street homes aren’t known for their architectural charm, but we saw an opportunity to rewrite that narrative. By designing a front ground floor extension and a double-storey rear extension, we were able to dramatically transform the property, both visually and functionally.
The extensions created a larger, more welcoming lounge and entrance hall, and introduced a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area, perfect for modern family life. We also added a fourth bedroom, making the layout more versatile for their growing needs.
The result is a home that now stands out on the street, delivering both curb appeal and comfort. It’s no longer just a house with history, it’s a revitalised family home with a brand new feel, ready for the next chapter.
