Hayat Planning & Design is built on over a decade of experience across two specialist fields: architectural design and light gauge steel frame (LGSF) systems.

The journey began in 2009 with a decision to study Architectural Design Technology, driven by a genuine interest in home improvement and a desire to help shape better neighbourhoods. From the start, the goal was simple, to find beautiful, practical ways of extending and upgrading homes, especially those that had become tired or run down. The real ambition was to help improve the streets we live on, making them feel cared for, consistent and more in keeping with the best of British architecture.

After graduation, the first professional years were spent in the commercial modular construction sector, gaining hands on experience in fast paced design environments and learning how to deliver technically sound buildings at speed.

This was followed by nine years focused on LGSF, working at a senior level and competing with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Metsec and Kingspan. This period brought deep expertise in structural design, engineering coordination and the practical delivery of steel frame systems.

Today, Hayat Planning & Design offers two core services: planning consultancy and LGSF design. These are offered as distinct, standalone services, each carried out with precision, professionalism and care.

After years in commercial settings, this is a return to where it all started with helping people realise the potential of their homes through thoughtful design and practical solutions. We believe every project is a climb, but with the right tools, the right team, and the right design, it’s a summit worth reaching.
